Job Description:
- Import Logistics Operation: To effectively and efficiently manage the movement of goods and materials into a country or region, ensuring that they reach their intended destination in a timely and cost-effective manner. Recommend Optimal transportation modes, routing, or frequency, create cost effective policies for logistics activities. Co-ordination with shipping lines for getting timely DO (Delivery Order). Plan and implement material inflow management system to meet production requirements. Coordinating with all internal & external agencies regarding Material movement from port to Plant & back to empty yard of equipment.
- Custom clearance: Ensuring that all imported goods comply with the customs laws, trade regulations, and import/export policies of the country. Managing the entire customs clearance process, which includes communication with customs officials, tracking the status of clearance.
- Record keeping: Maintaining detailed records of all import transactions, including documentation, customs declarations, and financial records, to ensure compliance and facilitate audits.
- Systems & sustainability : To ensure effective implementation of IMS (Integrated Management System, Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Sustainability Systems for achieving Business Excellence.
