Job Description:

Job Purpose: The role of the Technical Lead involves the planning, assigning, and supervising the work of an assigned team engaged in performing ABAP programming, design, testing, documentation and debugging work related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of SAP modules; personally performing the more difficult system analysis and programming work of the team where necessary.

KRA's

• Independently lead the technical team and drive the discussions with the business; and functional experts/ track leads, provide recommendations, explore various solution options in processes and decide on best option to configure a business process within the P2M track
• Jointly with the functional track-leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), evaluate the need for customization/ bespoke features; and classify such developments according to their category (WRICEF)
• Jointly with the technical lead of the SI partner, review the effort estimates submitted for development and change/ ratify as required
• Ensure preparation of technical specs before start of developmental activities (by the SI team); review jointly with the concerned functional track-lead/ SME and ultimately sign-off the technical specs triggering the start of the development
• Keep a detailed record of all the WRICEF that have been developed/ are to be developed as part of the implementation
• Develop- jointly with the functional team(s)- training programs for users on the use of customized objects, authorization roles, custom workflows, and other related area
• To participate with the functional teams in Unit Tests, System Integration Tests (SIT) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for the customized feature
• Be the custodian of the documentation pertaining to all WRICEF objects developed during the implementation. The relevant documentation should be easily retrievable as the business transitions from the “implement” phase to the “run” phase and embarks on the path of continuous improvement
