Key Result Areas   

Supporting Actions 

Ensure implementation of sourcing plan 

  • Assess and align vendor base to meet the Demand requirements. 
  • Plan purchase and monitor supply of FG on time and in full 
  • Guide the team in ensuring that the quality standards are met, and consistency maintained. 
  • Assess vendor performance through vendor evaluations. 
  • Review existing processes and continuously improve processes. 
  • Review payment disbursals as per the plan 
  • Review account reconciliation  

 

 

Formulate sourcing plan to ensure availability of desired raw materials satisfying OTIF norms 

  • Coordinate with customer/Supply plan interface teams to plan requirement 
  • Assess the current sourcing facilities 
  • Review order execution process and incorporate necessary changes 
  • Forecast the future developments in terms of FG products and align supply base for the same. 
  • Keep abreast with new product, service and technology developments  
  • Continuously monitor the sourcing plan to ensure high standards of execution 

 

   Order Execution 

  • Prepare a detailed supply plan against the seasonal Demand plan of Brands. 
  • Ensure Validation and then release of orders in line with delivery and cost requirement. 
  • Seasonal capacity planning: Arrive and align vendor capacities to meet Demand requirement. 
  • Submission of Seasonal Supply plan to Brands and alignment of Brand and sourcing to the final supply plan. 
  • Monthly Delivery commitment to Brands & Weekly ORM updates to supply plan teams. 
  • Provide Sourcing Inputs for PPM activity: Pipeline orders, Rolling Plan etc. 
  • Provide monthly reconciliation of supply vs demand in terms of delivery performance, shortages & drops. 
  • Conduct weekly ORMs with teams to review delivery status. 

 

Cost engineering 

  • Work closely with suppliers on process improvements resulting in cost advantage 
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimum cost procurement along with strategic sourcing teams. 
  • Plan with vendors offering product re-engineering ideas for better costs. 

 

Sourcing Strategy for Denims 

  • Identify & Develop vendor base to meet the needs of Brands for new categories.  
  • Align vendor Mix to provide Design Inputs, Product Expertise, Product Development inputs, Flexibility to service smaller lots and scalability. 
  • Realign internal processes to meet the needs of these categories: Introducing core model. 
  • Design and product update through ties ups with Best-in-class Indian suppliers & International Suppliers. 

 

 

 

Sourcing Strategy for dyeing and washing across brand and categories. 

  • Identify & Develop washing vendor base to meet the needs of Brands / Manufacturing for casual garments (cotton trouser, shirts, jackets etc.) 
  • Cost negotiation and recipe standardization across all vendor base. 
  • Sustainable recipe development through exploring new technologies at vendor base like E soft, Laser, G2, etc. 
  • Applying patent for new product and process for the organization.
