Key Result Areas


Trend Forecast

  • Conduct primary & secondary Research on Fashion & Lifestyle trends
  •  benchmark competition brands and travel to fairs/markets & mills
  • Work closely with the buying team/marketing team and participate in sell-thru presentations to identify key takeaways which needs to be integrated into design lines.
  • Call out all colors/fabrics/silhouette/product innovation/ornamentation and consolidate creation of trend forecast for the upcoming season for the category

Season Concept

  • Create the seasonal concept to ensure commercial viability/fashion sensibility and reinstatement of the consumer value proposition and brand promise

 

Line Creation

  • Liaison with the Product & Product Development teams to understand costing/commercial viability of the merchandize.
  • Guide the team on preparing winning ideas to convert concepts into innovative & commercially viable products & present the Season line/collection.

 

Tech Packs

  • Monitor creation of quality tech packs and facilitate timely uploads on the PLM
  • Intervene strategically wherever required to ensure handover to sourcing & product teams in line with the business process calendar

 

Quality Sampling

  • Lead Quality sampling
  • Guide team on working with product and sourcing & mills to ensure sampling and in compliance with the timelines/ deliverables.

 

New Category

  • Work closely with the Function Head and guide the team in understanding existing gaps, exploring newer value propositions, channels/product/design/concepts - consistent with brand identity/fashion experience/consumer requirements

 

Team Development

  • Develop team capabilities
  • Ensure continuous learning & development for all individuals in the team

 

Self-Development

  • Ensure travel & visits to mills, fairs
  • Work in the market to understand emerging trends & consumer insights.
  • Take initiatives to build technical faculty and work with Function Head & other Category Heads to create innovative product lines

Qualifications:
Master of Design

Minimum Experience Level:
12-17 Years
