Job Description:

Job Purpose

To ensure the efficient and timely flow of materials and products throughout the FLO unit, supporting uninterrupted operations, optimizing inventory levels, and driving cost-effective logistics practices

Logistics Optimization: Delivery & Cost

•Achieve on time delivery by controlling the dispatches, develop systems to meet customer & Grade specific requirements desired by customer. Ensure loading of materials in line with Customer Grade specific requirements of customer.
•Making Negotiation strategies, conducting reverse auctions / Tenders etc... for contract finalization.
•Work on various project (Internal/External) to evaluate the feasibility & recommend after thorough study new/advanced modes of transportation which can lead to lower logistics cost.
•Devising & implementing distribution strategies for insourcing & outsourcing basis no. & location of customers & transport facilities.
•Develop strategy for optimizing freight cost across the business including working with other businesses.
 •Prepare Request for Quote (RFQ) and comply with bidding procedure, prepare for Non-Prices & Price based evaluation and conduct negotiation.

Safety in Transportation:.

•Drive initiatives on transportation safety like; Control Tower, DMM, Vehicle Gate Check & Inspection, driver trainings, health check, SAQ’s etc…
 •Sharing best practices among the colleagues, benchmark safety transformation initiatives.

•Safety in Transportation & distribution for Hazchem where the liability of smallest incident in very high is paramount

Legal & Statuary Compliance

•CMVR to be followed in all right spirits like Ensuring Right Load Weight, mandatory trainings.
 •Ensure compliance on transportation SOP s.

Customer Satisfaction

•Identify and drive management initiatives and service level improvement opportunities to have Customer Delight.
 •Ensuring adherence with SLAs and steering implementation across the entire geography.

MIS, Dashboard & Audits, Reviews:

•Timely preparation of MIS report and all relevant documents
•Ensure update of documents as per ISO and related.
•Assist and get timely audits done in the section.
 •Review on various reports, Safety score, logistics cost, safety incidents, GPS violations, transporter evaluation, implementation of various project etc. to be done on regular basis for continuous improvements

Systems Management (Safety, Sustainability Improvement & WCM):

 Adhere to statutory compliance related to Safety, Health and Environment & Sustainability and systems like IMS, WCM and ISO

•Develop and ensure consistent SOP s are followed for RFQ, freight negotiations and contract award etc…
•Develop SOP for various Logistics Operations & Safety standards.
•Adhere to quality systems in the section for improving performance as per quality and environmental standards.
•Implement IMS 9001, 14001, 50001, SA 8000, OHSAS 18001 & WCM practices & other systems in the Section.
•Implement periodic sustainability audits action plans as directed by Sustainability Cell and other audits.
•Handle emergency situations like Liquid Chlorine leakages etc. under Disaster Management activities
•Timely update documents related to ISO 9001 & ISO14001 for the department.
•Participate in Kaizen, Suggestion Scheme, Continuous improvement projects etc...
 •Collaborating with team members on energy saving projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the area of work.


Qualifications:
MBA

Minimum Experience Level:
4-9 Years
