Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities :-
- To coordinate, control and manage production planning & control of viscose as per desired quality and spinning target.
- To ensure the compliance of set process parameters and consumption norms.
- To overcome the bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery of the de-aerated & Ripened Viscose.
- To ensure the sustenance of the various required parameters after each operation.
- To review internal customer complaints and take corrective actions.
- To identify and formulate new projects/ schemes for the plant reliability and quality improvements.
- To plan and execute various trials for process optimization.
- To upkeep all the equipment and inspect repetitive cases of breakdown and take corrective actions.
- To understand internal customer's requirements and feedback and translating them into actions at the departmental level.
- To monitor and control the regular process costs through resource utilization and technological initiatives.
- To ensure expert technical support for the conversion of waste to wealth (Eg - Filter press backwash water for MCL preparation).
- To plan and ensure implementation of cost reduction and quality improvement measures.
- To motivate team for identification of Wastage and measures to reduce it.
- To coordinate with other departments to implement resource conservation schemes.
- To identify priority area for improvement and inviting suggestions for energy saving.
- To plan and initiate Rationalization of the work force.
- To estimate and propose long term CAPEX.
- Recommend new schemes/ innovations to increase the departmental performance.
- To identify the new projects through self and direct reports.
- To ensure implementation of the approved projects under the Budgetary and time frame.
- To periodically review the job status and the budgetary fund.
- To ensure and monitor implementation of safety standards and systems in the Department.
- To ensure the Preventive Maintenance of the equipment’s.
- To identify the Safety training needs of the repartees and facilitating the same through coordination of the HR & Safety department.
- To maintain safe procedures, Clean environment and total compliance with agreed safety standards without any deviation.
- Ensure implementation of agreed action plan for improving OHS.
- To do safety observation rounds as per agreed norm and ensure completion of the same by team members.
- To ensure and monitor Tool Box Talks in the department
- To participate in HAZOP & JSA and ensure implementation and development of SOPs
- To uniformly implement the HR policies and procedures for maintaining shop floor discipline.
- To enhance competency level of the subordinates and imparting the training in coordination with HR to bridge the gap.
- To identify the suitable person(s) for Succession planning, rewards and recognition.
- To actively contribute in the implementation of the ISO and Business Excellence, Quality standards.
- To ensure implementation of ISO quality standards.
- To monitor customer complaints and take corrective actions.
- To take responsibilities for external audit, sustenance and timely up gradation of different certifications like IMS (QMS, EMS, OHSAS) and SA in the department.
