Job Purpose |
In the wake of increasing legislations and amendments thereto, it is imperative to focus on continued learning and development and work towards imparting the said knowledge by way of improving the governance standards not only for Hindalco, its subsidiaries but also make strides at the Group Company Secretaries forum at Group level. Also, to make a Hindalco’s presence at the Advisory Board’s on certain Governance, best industry practices and Compliance forum / panels etc. To contribute towards improving the Company’s Governance standing at DJSI and other national and International Indexes. In order to facilitate it, it has become imperative to align a resource under the position of Lead: L & D / Governance 2.0 to assist him / her to facilitate achieving new Governance Standards. Also to take care of routine activities such as co-ordination with various stakeholders such as locations and Regulatory bodies and so on. |

Job Context:Major Research, Learning & Development work, policies making, defining new Governance standards for Hindalco, its subsidiaries. Proposing new benchmarks at Group Companies Secretaries Forums at Group level. Sustainable practices to earn better scores at various Indexes and consolidate a strong presence within the industry for governance standards. Develop strong ties and work closely with various proxy advisory boards. |

Policy Making, SOPs Management, Group Company Secretaries (GCS) Forum and Group HR | To assist / promote / help the Lead: L & D / Governance 2.0 to standardize / draft policies, SOPs for the Company not only from the compliance standpoint but to match with best Governance practices in the industry while aligning it with the Group practices. To work closely with GCS and GHR on various policy making, best governance practices and ensuring sustainable implementation thereto. |
Research, Creation of White Papers, Presentations | To assist / promote / help the Lead: L & D / Governance 2.0 to prepare research documents, white papers on various relevant legal matters and ensure upliftment of the team. |
Creating Awareness on various laws, adherence thereto, penal provisions
| To assist / promote / help the Lead: L & D / Governance 2.0 to focus heavily on creating awareness amongst the designated employees of the Company in connection with critical laws such as Prevention of Insider Trading and Related Party Transactions. |
Presence in the industry [Proxy Advisory Boards, SEBI/ ICSI / DJSI and other such bodies] | To assist / promote / help the Lead: L & D / Governance 2.0 to endeavor towards creating a strong image for the Company’s Compliance / governance standards / practices to earn a good standing amongst various Proxy Advisory Boards, SEBI, Institute of Companies Secretaries of India, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and other such relevant bodies. |
Website Management for Investor Corner Section w.r.t. adherence to relevant laws. | To assist / promote / help the Lead: L & D / Governance 2.0 to develop best practices on disclosures and governance relating to website management. |
