KRA1 | CORE : Production and operation Ensuring targeted production, effective upkeep of plant and machineries and implementation of all production related activities in respective units of chemical department during shifts so as to contribute to the targeted production of VFY | •To ensure diligent adherence to process parameters, SOPs (standard operating procedures) and consumption norms during shift operations •To monitor the condition of CS2/ H2SO4/ water plants, pipelines and water/chemical storage tanks and perform prompt preventive maintenance during shifts •To perform proper de-aching of all CS2 furnaces on regular basis during shifts •To manage safe Sulphur melting in the chemical plant premises during shifts •To perform job planning and prepare & issue work permit with all relevant information, e.g. (safety PPEs) for respective chemical jobs •To manage plant shutdown during defects and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance •To co-ordinate with maintenance team and other service departments for day to day activities during shifts •To maintain daily production reports and submit the same to the SH |
KRA2 | Production Cost Management Ensuring efficient cost optimization by reduction in energy and raw material consumption and proper utilization of resources during shifts | •To minimize consumption of chemicals, electricity and other raw materials by reducing wastage •To optimize overall filter water consumption in chemical plant and execute water recycling projects •To implement cost reduction and quality improvement measures in consultation with SH •To work on suggested area for improvement and implement scheme/suggestion for energy saving |
KRA3 | Safety and Environment Ensuring total compliance with safety standard in the chemical department, thereby minimizing risks and ensuring long term sustainability of section and Rayon Plant as a whole | •To implement the Du-Pont Safety plan (safety standards, & SOPs) during shifts •To ensure all safety related information is correctly documented in work permits •To maintain safe procedures, clean environment and total compliance with safety standards without any deviation during shifts •To implement action plan for improving OHS •To implement plans for improvement in Behavioural Based Safety (BSS)/ Process Safety Management (PSM) •To consult SH and devise plans to improve SO% |
KRA4 | HR and people management Ensuring harmonious industrial relations and developing a motivated and skilled workforce in the chemical department | •To handle labour problems maintain shop floor discipline •To provide induction training to fresh hires and manage contractor safety •To enhance skill/competence of workmen and identify any training requirements •To give on the job training to workmen/fresh Hires •Identify suitable persons for reward and recognition |
KRA5 | Compliance with IMS and Business Excellence quality standards and total customer satisfaction Ensuring the maintenance of ISO standards application and documentation and participation in unit’s operational/Business excellence program | •To implement all IMS(QMS,EMS,OSHAS,SA) procedures & maintain all documents •To actively contribute as a member or sub-committee in the implementation of WCM/BEx practices. •To train the department personnel the importance of meeting internal customer requirement. |
