Job Description:

Job Purpose:

Plan and execute material characterization of epoxy systems in composite & electrical applications. Participation in product trials, on-site troubleshooting, and providing customers with quick, high-quality technical support by performing performance testing and thermal and mechanical characterization of polymeric materials at PMRC.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support to Customers
   • Participate in product trials and troubleshooting at customer site
   • Offer technical solutions to compelling issues and challenges faced by customers
   • Work closely with customer and focus on understanding the customer needs and pain points and help them to relieve it.
   • Design, plan, and prioritize experiments for customer requirements and comparative studies with competitor’s products. 
   • Evaluate competitor’s product and submit report to development team for product improvement. 
   • Data analysis, interpretation and preparation of reports.
   • Co-ordinate with analytical teams, product development, QA for method development as and when required.
     
     
2. Material Characterization and Process Development
   • Maintain Quality Standards in the application lab.
   • Establish test protocols and best practices and compliances in Application Development Lab.
   • Develop customer application process and simulate application conditions. 
   • Calibrate testing equipment’s as per customer conditions/test standards. 
   • Autonomous Maintenance of test equipment’s, maintaining their history card and ensuring preventive maintenance, calibration etc.
   • Co-ordinate with vendors as per the lab/test requirements 
   • Determine external testing facilities and third-party labs in the event that we lack the testing capacity.
     
     
3. Safety, Health & Environment 
   • Implement & monitor safe working conditions in and around the lab. 
   • Proactively interact and take an action to ensure positive SHE attitude and activities. 
   • Take part in creating MSDS of new materials or changes in MSDS as required.
   • Maintain arrangements for sustainable Process Safety Management (PSM) at responsible area.
   • Implement effective lab practices and methods to improve safety. Development of working cultures in a direction which supports health and safety at work.
   • Conduct risk assessments of all the activities conducted in the lab and take preventive measures.
     
     
4. Participative Management
   • Ensure WCM practices are followed in the team. Take part in group activities.
   • Lead and encourage team for in house Quality competitions.
   • Lead and mentor team for 5S activities.

2-5 Years
