Job Description:

Job Purpose

Plan and execute experiments and analyze the data within time lines to develop scientific solutions towards R&D projects

Job Context:
As a corporate R&D center, ABSTC provides Research & technology support to ABG businesses. This position is responsible for providing Leadership to Group Business by a) creating high class competencies & infrastructure that is aligned with the business need of ABG companies, b) generate revenue by developing research portfolio and delivering effective technology solutions to customers, c) Develop technology programs for development of new/futuristic technologies through innovative platforms in collaborations with external institutes

Major Challenges:
Resource (material, machine) availability, collaboration / coordination, business dynamics and technical / administrative clarity to troubleshoot things customers, which limits increasing research funding from customers.

Project execution & Delivery

  • Apply principles of chemical/process engineering and data driven modeling to solve problems in R&D, manufacturing, business product R&D
  • Support in Hands-on experimentation requiring clear hypothesis driven thinking, consistent focus on safety, effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Design and implement novel experimental and computational capabilities
  • Drive value generation for team through support in ideation for new project opportunities and delivering on key projects
  • Keep current with developments in relevant area of technology and identify and implement application which will benefit Aditya Birla Group and ABSTC.
  • Collaboration with internal as well as external support function teams, Project execution planning in coordination with manager / domain leader / plant stakeholders

Innovation / IP / Publications / Conference

. Propose new idea's, explore its feasibility and complete POC work
. Convert POC's into business project proposals & defend
. Referring to scientific literature
 . Publish patents, journal articles, conference proceedings, etc.

Safety

. Ensure operational safety by following site-EHS guidelines
. Coordination with safety committee
. Timely maintenance of equipment
 . SOP / HAZOP document creation and approval

Self-Development & Capability Building

. Complete online / offline trainings as per identified developmental goals
. Development of expertise in new area, product, process, equipment, analytical tool, etc.
. Knowledge dissemination to fellow team members
 . Assist other projects where expertise is required

Branding

. Represent ABSTC within (internal forums) and outside ABG

Functional / Organizational responsibility

. Assist in Technology / Functional group meetings

M.Tech

Minimum Experience Level:
0-2 Years
