This job mainly relies on strong analytical, negotiation, contracting and communication skills. Should be well versed with sourcing & vendor management and relevant software, deep understanding of market dynamics and should possess sound business judgement along with strong project management and leadership skills

 

Major challenges

 

  • Dealing with vendors and tracking its delivery.
  • Execution of sourcing projects and tactical procurement opportunities to help ensure the realization of cost savings objectives
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis Season on season and benchmarking
  • Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Negotiate pricing and control costs and also develop a yearly budget depending on sourcing needs
  • Follow up with vendors for PP sample and keep a track of production
  • Ensure Performa Invoice and Tax Invoice is timely shared with Invoice team and Finance.
  • Maintain and update Season wise buy master 
  • Maintaining dashboards and presentations
  • Prepare and maintenance of Order sheets 
  • Invoice and PO management along with regular follow up with buying team for the same. 
  • Timely sharing of the RTV mails with the vendors and the Jaypore Team and make sure PL RTV’s are done on time
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices
  • Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations

  • Meet category sales targets,
  • Range planning based on season and faster selling price point
  • Achieving better sell through, ensure GMV targets are met, providing all look/craft options at all times, ensure faster processing of events
  • Timely store orders 

Higher Gross Margin (%)/Lower PCMRP

  • Stronger Negotiation skills
  • Market Research 

Sell Through/ Inventory Turn

  • Higher sell through
  • Maintain appropriate ratio of fast moving options and styles
  • Anyslis   stock performance report.
  • Look into QC, costumer returns, coordinating with marketing team for promotion plans and launches
  • Inventory Managment

Season Planning & Launch 

  • Work closely with design team and sourcing team to plan launches in time as per business requirement
  • Should hit the warehouse and stores timely as planned by retail planning team
  • Maintain tracker for the season with all details so as to facilitate timely and accurate ordering
  • Online, Offline and Outright Analysis
  • Time to Time inventory and sales analysis for online and stores basis quality and value.

Qualifications:
Under Graduate

Minimum Experience Level:
3-6 Years
