Job Description:

Job Purpose

To assist SH Tech Services (WCM/ISO/SYS) initiate, plan, organize, review, facilitate and ensure implementation of Aditya Birla Operational Excellence Framework & World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Excellence model in all spheres of unit through effective employee involvement in continuous improvement process in line with CWCM guidelines.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Balaji Cement Works is located 200 km from Hyderabad, around 12 km from National Highway No 65. It has cement manufacturing capacity of 5 MTPA and Clinker capacity of 3.6 MTPA (Kiln rated capacity 10,000 TPD). Entire grinding capacity is at one location.
Limestone requirement of the unit is 6.0 MTPA. To meet the limestone requirement, Budawada Limestone Mine is spread over 629.22 Ha having deposits sufficient for around 60 years. Two limestone crushers with capacity of 900 TPH each, located inside unit, 2.7 km from mine. Material is transported from mine to unit through dumpers.
Unit has two captive thermal power plants of 35 MW and 22.5 MW each in addition to 15 MVA grid power connection with SEB to cater the entire power requirement of the unit. The unit has private railway siding for its inbound/ outbound material/fuel/cement & clinker movement. There is 12 KM water pipe line from Krishna River to unit to meet the water requirement of unit and township.

Involve and get active participation of each and everyone on Systems (ABOE/WCM/ISO etc.) and achieve the desired goals/results by having clear thought process.

100 % QCDIP Submission in confluence by all GRT's on monthly basis.
Quarterly check the condition of Developed Model Areas
Preparation of SCW Kaizen Souvenir.
Ensure Daily Abnormality Identification, Jishu Hozen Rounds at site,participation in BCE Audit for the better implementation of systems, streghthen ownership culture.
Give Inputs, share suggestions, kaizens for improvement in GRT and KFA meetings. Guide and support KFA and teams for WCM activities.
Do the necessary arrangements to get the 100% participation of employees during scheduled trainings.
Regular follow up, facilitate & support the Team Leaders to get the QCDIP filled timely.
Regular visit of Model areas for sustenance. Best Practices adoption & development.
Ensure preparation of SCW Kaizen Souvenir every year.
KRA2Maintain the management systems viz. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 in the plant as per the standard requirements & other guidelines.
A) IMS document portal to be maintained regularly for effective document management.
B) Maintain the IMS Standards Requirements
C) Internal Audit schedule preparation
D) External Audit Findings Closure
To regularly update the IMS Doument Portal.
Document preparation, distribution, modification in old document if necessary.
Regular Follow-up with internal auditors for timely completion of Audit . Compilation of the closure of findings for evidence.
Compile the evidences for external audit findings and do regular follow up with concerns for closure of external audit findings timely.

A) Own KFA performance - Silver in Self assessment.
B) Timely updation and fulfilment of MCM/steering presentation.
c) Regular site round in plant in for abnormality finding/improvement.
d) 100 % Profile Updation in New Confluence Software on monthly basis.
e) Maintain records of Rewards & Recognition.
a) To give inputs to improve KFA Performance and also encourage other team members to participate actively.
b) To follow up with Leaders/Dy. leaders for MCM/Steering Presentation.Also prepare the presentations for Steering and MCM Meetings.
c) Compile and do the analysis of abnormalities to find the area for improvement.
d) To regular update the profile in New Confluence Software.
e) Regulalry update the Rewards & recognition related data.
KRA4SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiativesEnsuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations.
Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
Ensure adherence to COVID precautions and guidelines issued by management time to time along with adherance of safety precautions on the site and off the site to be safe
Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
