Job Purpose
Support Lead-Sourcing of Pigments for Paint Or Adhesive industry from Local as well as import sources, Inventory Management, Price Negotiations, Vendor Management, Vendor evaluation and Audit, Value chain workings, Key Result Areas
• Strategic procurement of all Pigments related to paint industry
• Strategic procurement of Solvents. Handling of PSU’s like BPCL, HPCL, IOCL. Yearly contract handling
• Planning and scheduling
• New vendor development
• Cost Saving initiatives
• Negotiating with vendors – Taking quotes negotiating finalizing L1 and placing order
• Global sourcing experience (China, Korea, USA, EU Singapore). Geographical knowledge of Pigments
• Value chain knowledge of Pigment related feedstock
• Import clearance formalities, Storage & CHA handling
• Import schemes – AA, EPCG, Project import etc
• Inward and Outward freight handling, Transporters etc .. Must Have Skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with strong documentation and coordination practices; adherence to procedures
• Demonstrated strong ability in problem solving, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize multiple task.
• Ability develop process and procedures and embed these into robust processes and procedures.
• Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
• Expertise in managing ERP systems like SAP and Ariba and digital processes / Analytics
• Significant experience within Procurement and Supply Management; with a proven track record of delivering results within a global Procurement organization.
• Highly skilled in Supplier Relationship Management – including negotiating and influencing
• Procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Managed Annual Spend of INR 400 Crore or higher. Managing a team of 1-2 would be added advantage
• Should have handled multi plant procurements (Atleast 7-8 Plants)
