Job Description:
Ensure EXIM (Export & Import) operations and Pre shipments Documentation for Chemical unit to ensure timely movement of goods complying all DG & statutory requirements while ensuring safety & statutory compliances during transportation of hazardous products.
Ensure timely cost effective completion of stevedoring and handling contracts and to have smooth handling and movement of Rock phosphate from port to plant complying all regulatory requirements while ensuring safety & statutory compliances during transportation. Oversee the handling and storage of key domestic raw materials, maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring smooth logistical processes throughout the organization.
Facilitating Unit logistics Head in commercial negotiations along with central team to ensure cost efficiency in logistics operations.

Logistics cost optimization by incorporating spot and reverse auctions into the logistics procurement process for EXIM & Domestic , the organization can achieve cost optimization while maintaining service levels and ensuring compliance with EXIM regulations and domestic transportation requirements. | - Making Negotiation strategies, conduction reverse auctions/Tenders etc.
- Identify and address opportunities to improve efficiency in logistic for cost reduction including change in mode mix, godown locations etc. bulk international movements.
- Develop strategy for optimizing freight cost across the business including working with other businesses. Also recommend infrastructure requirements at various sites based on unit recommendations for reducing freight costs.
- Evaluate & recommend after thorough study new/advanced modes of transportation which can lead to lower logistics cost.
- Analyze demand & supply in various country and recommend ideal locations for godown /secondary storage which will enable stable plant operations and reduce logistics cost.
- Oversee commercial negotiations of export freight & related expenses for contract finalization.

Managing Exim logistics operations and documentation Ensure, timely management of logistics operation and documentation & ensuring satisfaction of internal and external customer as per available resources for the Unit | - Ensure despatch scheduling in consulation with sales, CSO & Plant operations team
- Liasioning with internal stakeholders, Transporters, forwarder & clearing agents for executions of smooth movements for exports.
- Booking request to concern Forwarder as per planning from CSO, Sales & customer.
- Arranging fleet as per stuffing planning with coordinating with Transporter.
- Co-ordinate with plant loading team for timely stuffing and smoothen in despatches.
- Timely movements of exports shipemnts as per schedule.
- Ensuring timely placements of container as per schedule only.
- Handover/ Share documents for further process.
- Tracking of empty container and filled container also
- Ensuring timely stuffing, stock availability in systems & timely sealing of containers with proper dcumentations

- Meeting frequently with the service providers to give proactive feedback on their performance and improvement opportunities.

Process & Compliances : Effectively management of Process & ensure adherence of compliance. | - Road worthy vehicles placements for movements of good and monitoring Safety score.

Pre- Shipment Documentaion: Ensuring to prepare pre- shipment error free documents. | - Ensure to prepare Pre shipments documents preparation as per STD process only.
- Timely handover the documents to concerned authority
- Share pre-shipment documents along with booking copy to CHA for customer clearance.
- Ensure timely clearance of containers fot further movement..
- Coordination with agency for any issue related to documentation
- Ensuring min TAT within the plant.
- Error free documentation for all exim shipments.

System Management (Safety & Sustainability): Direct and monitor to ensure adherence of statutory compliance related to Safety, Health and Environment & Sustainability. Ensure implementation of ISO systems, | - Ensure Drivers’training on an ongoing basis to keep building safe behavioyrs
- Ensure incident free logistics operation and ensure compliance of all safety requirements as stipulated by CMVR Act, IMDG ACT & environment related statutory requirements
- Ensure all precautions are taken by the Drivers while during the movement of hazardous chemiclas, especially SBP/HSBP shipment

Job Responsibilities:
- Strategizing for Logistics cost reductions by leveraging commercial acumen and exploring innovative transportation solutions with Strong understanding of EXIM regulations and procedures.
- Ensuring smooth Logistics Operations by overseeing the coordination of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Providing functional Logistics Expertise to support operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensuring Safety in transport & distribution by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and standards.
- Ensuring Legal & Statutory compliance with relevant regulations and laws governing logistics operations.
- Exploring new ways of transportation such as bulk, coastal, feeder service, reefer container service, DDP Shipment, and Dry Container Service to optimize logistics operations and costs
- Manage inbound operations(For Key Raw Material), including new vendor development and contract finalization.
- Manage warehouse operations, including new setups of warehouse, Stock Reconciliation and stock management.
- Coordinate closely with Marketing teams, Customer Service Team, Unit logistics Team, Unit Materials Team (For Inbound RM), Central Purchase Team, Feeder operators, Terminal operators including CONCOR, Shipping lines, Freight Forwarders, and Transporters.
