Front Line Engineer- Electrical Power Plant

Job Purpose:

To plan and execute manpower deployment, material handling, job execution, contract management, and inspection of incoming materials to ensure continuous, safe, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of ERS & Cell Switch systems supporting quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Execute fault finding and rectification of electrical equipment in ERS & Cell Switch areas.

  • Plan and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Inspect equipment and deploy required manpower and spares for timely repairs.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure implementation of safety protocols, including inspection of lifting tools and tackles.

  • Adhere to safety standards under SA8000 and OHSAS18000 frameworks.

• WCM Implementation:

  • Participate in WCM (World Class Manufacturing) initiatives.

  • Adopt and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.

• Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs of workmen and facilitate skill development.

  • Mentor team members by delegating responsibilities under supervision.

• Documentation & ISO Compliance:

  • Maintain logbooks, equipment history, and PM checklists as per ISO 9001 & 14001.

  • Monitor and record equipment performance metrics and maintenance efficiency.
