Job Description:

Job Purpose

Plan, Organize and allocation of resources to produce desired Quantity & Quality of VSF by way of training, tools and techniques of production

Job Context & Major Challenges

Job Context:
Spinning Department produces VSF by regenerating cellulose from viscose through spin bath followed by imparting necessary treatment like washing, de-sulphuring, bleaching, acid wash and finishing before dried and bleached for despatch. Varieties of VSF are produced to meet the requirement of customers in various segments like Cotton, Polyester, Acrylic and 100% Viscose yarns. Entire process from spinning to bailing has been organised in one single continuous process line having more than 1500 rotating components. Entire atmosphere comprises of corrosive gases, acid liquids and various other chemicals.
Other Major Challenges:
1. Water consumption in the process is high which would pose challenge during bad monsoon.
2. Carrying out rehabilitation, repair and technological innovations in running plant - sustaining production and quality without sacrificing safety and environment
3. Resistance by the Collective bargaining units about bringing technological changes

KRA1Production Planning & Control1. Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
2. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
4. Assist in new product development and enhancements.
5. Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules.
6. Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
7. Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.
8. Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
9. Shade matching in dyed fibre.
10. Monitor and analyze Downtime with Root cause to reduce its impact on Cost, Quality and Delivery
KRA2Safety & Environment1. Provide training to employees and contractors (as required) to assure understanding and compliance with Process Safety Standards and requirements of local process safety requirements. (PSM/RMP programs).
2. Assist plants in leading Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) for major risk projects by providing expert support in PHA methodologies.
3. Participate in Process Safety Event investigations/root cause analysis to provide guidance to all plants. In conjunction with site management teams, track progress of corrective actions where business wide issues are identified.
