Staff- Mechanical Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant Maintenance: 

Organize & co-ordinate execution of maintenance activities.

Provide technical support to production and operations teams. 

Participate in plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and inspections.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

2. Equipment Design & Installation:

Design and review mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, pressure vessels, piping systems, and storage tanks. 

Oversee installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.

Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime. 

Support maintenance team in troubleshooting critical equipment failures.

3. Planning & Budgeting, Cost Control and improvements:

Check for maintenance expenditure to be within budgeted norms and plan and implement execution of improvement actions for cost optimization.

4. MIS Reports and Documentation: 

Ensure timely update of all documents of the section 

Update SOPs related to mechanical systems. 

5. Safety & Compliance:

Implement and adhere to statutory compliance related to Safety, Health and Environment & Sustainability and systems like IMS and ISO

Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, and safety audits.

Ensure mechanical integrity of pressure vessels, piping, and rotating equipment.

Required Skill Set:

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engg.

2. 3-5 Yrs of Experience in chemical manufacturing plant

3. Experience with maintenance strategies (Preventive, Predictive, RCM).
