Assist management from time to time in all legal matters pertaining to land, revenue, civil, labor and tribunal cases ad representing the company before the appropriate office. Also, handle court cases related to Consumer Forum and Industrial Tribunal.
Keep a track on company¿s cases in various courts on various stands and apprise management on the course of actions
Coordinate with the advocates on all legal matters, court cases in Session courts, High courts and Supreme Court
Birla Cellulosic is a Green Field Project of Grasim Industries Ltd. The project was conceptualised in the year 1994 and was fully commissioned in 1998.
The unit has an installed capacity of 350 TPD of Viscose Staple Fibre and is the most modern Viscose Staple Fibre producing unit of GrasimÂs pulp & Fibre business, with its four manufacturing streams of Viscose Staple Fibre of 90 TPD, 75 TPD Carbon di Sulphide (CS2), 200 TPD of Sulphuric Acid, 2 x 15 MW Thermal Power Plant and other auxiliary plants like Water Treatment, Demineralisation & Effluent Treatment Plant etc.GrasimÂs pulp & fibre business has grown over a period of last 50 years and has matured in terms of cost, quality & productivity. Today GrasimÂs Viscose fibre is branded as `Birla Viscose and is considered as most environment friendly textile grade viscose fibre known for its feel, comfort & Fashion.
Birla Cellulosic plant was put up to further strengthen the groupÂs market leadership in the fibre business and expand its share in the world market by producing best quality product.
With majority (80%) of the customers exporting yarn, managing their satisfaction level for them to meet stringent international quality norms is a formidable job.With the vision of making the plant a world reference point in terms of quality & cost the project was provided with most modern state of art machinery & Distributed Control System (DCS) & Programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Over last few years the market of Viscose Staple Fibre has been facing stiff competition from other textile grade fibres like Polyester, Nylon etc. The increasing cost of raw material has been consistently eating deeper in to profit margins of the viscose fibre and on the other hand other competing fibres are being made available at a much cheaper price year after year.

| KRA3 | Liaison with Lawyers and keep a track on company¿s cases in various courts and apprise the management on the course of actions | Represent on behalf of the management before the court of law for various jurisdiction. Keep a track of developments in each legal matter and apprise the management on the day to day happenings. Ensure proper communication with the lawyers and keep them abreast of the situations and seek their guidance from time to time.
