Job Description:



1] Job Purpose 

The position holder shall be largely responsible for supporting the BCOE C&B + PMS + JAE + HRMS + Payroll and other initiatives pertaining to payroll and benefits and HRMS across the organisation. 


Data accuracy and data sanity is the primary accountability of the Lead and the TM is expected to be agile, responsive and upto speed on all areas related to the domain.

4] Principal Accountabilities


Supporting Actions

Overall HRMS & Seamex Related Interaction

  • Responsible for managing the ongoing maintenance of HRMS data to support timely and accurate payroll processing and benefits plan administration. 
  • Implement HRMS enhancements required to system or introduction of new modules to support increased automation of HR processes (including shared services) under the guidance of Lead HRMS
  • Ensuring a complete and through understanding of Seamex and all processes templates for each of the processes 
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and SOPs; audit service delivery and ensure adherence to processes  


Position Management 

  • Centrally understand all Position related creations/ changes & audit the request being raised to SeamEx in line with all the guidelines
  • Define SLA’s for change in positions once the structure is approved and work towards ensuring TAT is minimal
  • Deactivate/Delete all redundant positions on an ongoing basis 
  • Provide JAE & PMS team a monthly report in terms of issues identified and gaps with regards to Position Management – PJB NA, Personal Job Bands , Not Evaluated Job Bands


  • Payroll process is outsourced – Develop an understanding of all payroll related elements which are an input from the HRMS desk 
  • Support Units / Payroll Team in all Payroll related updates 
  • Interacting with the payroll desk so that maker checker is established between payroll and HRMS desk


  • Understanding compensation, rate codes and rules pertaining to Hindalco and being upto speed on elements and processes involved
  • Monthly update of Compensation 
  • Tracker to be maintained in terms of the typical issues when updating compensation to address the same through process itself

HR Audit

  • Regular Audit of data – All anomalies wrt Position to be taken up centrally 
  • All WFA related anomalies to be highlighted on a monthly basis to Units 
  • Any gaps in compensation to be addressed adequately 


  • WFA tagging is the primary accountability of units 
  • Address all issues pertaining to WFA by Units 
  • WFA tagging TAT to be defined as a process for Units to adhere to 
  • Highlight every month in cases where the same has not been done

MIS and Reporting   

  • Development, management and maintenance of MIS and data analytics
  • Tracking of critical HR metrics pertaining to operations and service delivery, payroll, benefits administration and HRMS on a regular basis; ensure action planning for bridging discrepancies. 
  • Providing periodic reports to stakeholders as may be needed
  • Data Management & Support to be provided for all existing / New HR systems / interventions

Benefits Administration

  • Providing all releant inputs and data from a benefits administration standpoint
