Executive Assistant to Business Head - Textiles Sector

Job Description:

  Job Context: Alignment and Engagement with key stakeholders for driving performance of 3 businesses which are each unique and diverse in their operations.  Supporting the BH & Strategy team in driving growth plans through the BHO Office to ensure robust follow up and drive for  closure.

Business Performance

a)To support the BH in facilitating reviews on the delivery of strategic plan of Textile, Acrylic Fibre and Overseas Spinning business for the periodic Chairman Cell Reviews, P & B, BRC – Sector Head, Monthly Business Reviews, Marketing Reviews etc and provide necessary inputs. 

b)Develop standardized formats for tracking the progress of new / critical business initiatives with help of respective business teams. Review all significant expansion projects in terms of CAPEX   including   expansions     both   Greenfield    and brownfield.

c)Enabling  decision  making  through  in-depth  analysis and operational insights

d)Support Business CEOs and CXOs in integrating Business Communication Plans & also to develop standardized MIS. Analyze monthly reports received from all businesses and highlight key developments to BH.  Development of Market Intelligence report through Sector/ Competition analysis and feedback from Market visits

APEX Committee

a)Support the Apex committee meetings and follow-up on the progress

b)Drive synergies between Textiles Sector Businesses – and other ABG Businesses in Value chain for process standardization and improvement.

c)In depth involvement in P&B cycle through appropriate inputs, Coordination across 3 businesses under Textile sector to support the strategy & projects team in driving the agenda for Apex Committee for seamless working.

Sustainability – Health & Safety

a) Implementations of Sustainability  & WCM Roadmap

b) Facilitating Sustainability and BE Apex committee meetings

c) Publishing the sustainability report for the 8 units in GRI  G4 format

HR Reviews

a) Facilitating HR reviews

b) Facilitating Talent reviews

c) Facilitating communication meets

d) Facilitate Mid-year review as well as the end year reviews for direct reports of the BH within timelines


Put through White papers which have alignment to business Liaison and manage relationship with various functional heads of the organization for various initiatives

External Portfolio

Assisting the BH in his external portfolio (CII, WBCSD, external discussions, articles etc.) Help BH in external communications with industry bodies and academia to maintain and manage  external environment 

Strategic Projects

Support the BH on specific strategy projects as may be assigned from time to time.




Qualification : MBA in General Management


Key Skills : Finance, Analytics, Marketing, Stakeholder Management and Coordination, High Interpersonal Skills.
